Greenhills Veterinary Hospital is renowned for its puppy socialisation classes. We call these classes 'Puppy Parties'.
World wide, it has been found that these classes are invaluable in raising a puppy that you can live with and also in the continuing education of our clients. Puppies adapt rapidly to new experiences up until about 14 weeks of age. During this critical period, the pup learns to cope with all sorts of situations in a supportive group (such as a Puppy Party).
The puppies also learn the basic obedience moves, such as come, sit and stay. All obedience is taught using positive reinforcement.
We accept pups from 6 weeks of age and find that the younger they are when they attend, the more beneficial the classes will be for both puppy and owner.
Our classes run for four consecutive weeks. The classes are held on either Monday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings at 6.30pm. We have positions available throughout the year, but bookings are essential. All puppies must be vaccinated before starting in a class.
